What Makes Our Down Pillow So Lofty?

How can down trap air and still be breathable? It’s all in the feathers. Down consists of fine, fluffy fibers that form a cluster-like shape with small air pockets between their fibers – it’s what keeps down pillows so lofty. Yet, down’s overall structure isn’t dense and allows air to move through the spaces between the clusters. This helps to dissipate excess heat and moisture, so you don’t sleep hot and sweaty – promoting breathability without sacrificing support.

We take it a step further by sourcing premium 750 fill power down, which is supremely fluffy and higher in quality than most down pillows. FABRIC: OCS certified organic cotton FILL: 750 Fill Power USA Duck Down and feather (exceeding 75% down cluster). The feathers/down are washed with detergent and cleaned with water for one hour, then dried in a steam dryer at a temperature of 120 degrees centigrade for at least 30 minutes. Following treatment, the product is handled in a manner designed to keep the product from sources of contamination. Made in USA from domestic and global materials Care: We recommend professional laundering 1-2 times/year (note laundering, not dry cleaning). If you choose to launder at home, machine wash warm with a mild detergent on delicate cycle in a machine without a center agitator . Do not use bleach or fabric softener. Repeat rinse cycle an additional 1-2 times to ensure the detergent is completely removed. Dry using low heat well beyond the point where the outer fabric feels dry so the inner down clusters will be fully dry (can take 3-4 cycles). No iron. | |||
