Summer is here, the kids are home, and the heat is right around the corner. Between summer activities and the ice cream truck playing it’s frenzy-inciting tune—your kids are going to get their fair share of ice cream treats. We’re sharing some of our favorite quick, healthy, and kid-friendly fruit treats that will save you from some of those sugar-infused meltdowns!

Frozen Fruit

Frozen fruit is a great way to quench the need for that mid-afternoon, sugary frozen treat. Blueberries, grapes, and watermelon are just some of the fruits that taste amazing after some time in your freezer. With organic frozen fruit options, this is a great tasty treat to have in your freezer all summer long.

Fresh Fruit Pizza

Put your pizza decorating skills to the test! Watermelon slices double as pizza dough, with small berries and cut up fruit as the toppings! This also doubles as a fun activity for those bored kiddos.

Apple Cookies

Satisfy those cookie cravings with the snap of crisp, refreshing apple slices, covered in delicious peanut butter and topped with a sweet treat like chocolate chips! Make sure to slice the apple down the middle to achieve the circular cookie shape!

Banana Peanut Butter Bites

You’ll need banana, peanut butter, and blueberries! These scrumptious little bite sized treats are perfect for an afternoon snack. Spread the peanut butter over cut-up bananas, add the blueberries, and presto! You’ve got a quick treat to satisfy those tiny mouths.

Rainbow Kabobs

Another fun activity for your kids are rainbow kabobs! Stock up on tasty fruits that are vibrant in color and wooden skewers. Try freezing the finished kabobs for an extra-refreshing snack.
