Responsible Down Standard

RDS is an international voluntary standard that aims to improve animal welfare in the down and feather industry while providing more information about the origin of materials in products.

RDS evaluates suppliers and supply chains for humane treatment of geese and ducks and maintains a rigorous chain of custody for their feathers and down. We are RDS certified by Control Union Certifications. As a requirement of the standard, all sites within the business-to-business transaction are certified.

Control Union Certifications has audited and found Naturepedic to be in conformity with the Responsible Down Standard for down that meets RDS criteria. All the down purchased by Naturepedic is from RDS certified farms.
