Layer Swap FAQ

How does the layer swap program work?

Swap any 3" comfort layer within 100 nights of your purchase. Just fill out a simple form and purchase your new layers. Then, schedule a pickup for your original layers using a prepaid return label. Once we receive your original layers back, you will be issued a full refund as long as they're received back in good condition within 100 days of your original invoice date. For orders where the original mattress was not purchased at naturepedic.com, proof of invoice or receipt date will be required and shipping fees will be deducted for each layer. Shipping fees will also apply for all orders outside the Continental U.S.

If I am past the 100 night layer swap window, what are my options?

If more than 100 nights have passed since your original purchase date, you can still purchase new layers, but we cannot accept any layers back. Please visit naturepedic.com/newlayers-selectsize to place your order.

Do I have to pay for the new layers upfront?

Yes. When you place an order for new layer(s), you will pay for your order upfront. Once we receive your original layers back within 100 nights of original purchase, we will issue a full refund for the cost of the new layers. For orders outside the Continental U.S. or where the original mattress was not purchased at naturepedic.com, round trip shipping charges will apply (shipping new layers to you and old layers back to us).

What if I purchased my mattress from another retailer? Can I still layer swap?

Yes! You should first contact your retailer to see if they have their own layer swap program. If not, you can still participate in ours as long as you purchased your mattress from an authorized retailer. However, you will need to provide us with a copy of your purchase receipt showing the date of purchase and round trip shipping charges will apply (shipping new layers to you and old layers back to us). 

What are the shipping costs?

Layer swap shipping costs are totally free if you purchased your mattress at naturepedic.com and are within the Continental U.S. For orders where the original mattress was not purchased at naturepedic.com, shipping is $40/piece each way ($70 for two pieces) within the Continental U.S. These fees will be deducted from your refund once we receive your original layers back. For destinations outside the Continental U.S., please contact us for a shipping quote.

Can my sleeping partner and I choose different layers?

Absolutely! Split layers allow you to have a different comfort/support option for each side of the bed. This is great for couples who want to customize the feel of their mattress independent of their sleep partner. All Queen, King and CalKing size layers ship split by default. This makes it easier to handle the layers and swap them if needed. Don't worry, you won’t feel the split once your bed is all zipped up.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Layer swap orders typically ship within 5-7 business days via FedEx Ground Home Delivery. You will receive a notification with tracking information once your order ships out. Please contact us for rush options.

How and when will I receive my refund?

Refunds are issued via the original purchase method. If you originally ordered with a debit or credit card, your refund will be issued to the card used, etc. There is a processing time of approximately one week to receive your refund from the time we receive your original layers back.

Can I return layers in any condition and what happens to returned layers?

Naturepedic reserves the right to reject any returned layers found to be damaged or unsanitary. Your returned layers must be in good condition. Returned layers are either used for floor sample displays or donated to various charities.
